Shari founded Bayer Public Relations (BPR) with the vision of generating quality publicity for quality products. Particularly passionate about food and restaurants, Shari has focused on these fields, developing wonderful relationships with the culinary media and a strong presence in the hospitality community.
Since 2003, Shari’s company has represented an array of restaurants, chefs and culinary-focused clients, including: chef-driven concepts (Erik Bruner-Yang, Maketto; Spoken English, and Brothers and Sisters, The LINE Hotel DC; Jim Lahey, Sullivan Street Bakery; Zod Arifai, Wicked Jane; Don Pham, Sushi Ishikawa); neighborhood-friendly cafes/restaurants/bars (Cafe D’Avignon; La Palapa; Holiday Cocktail Lounge; Padoca; Tredici North); multifaceted restaurant groups (Foreign National, Washington DC; Foodshed Restaurant Group, Baltimore, MD; Serafina Restaurant Group, NYC; Exki, NYC), classic French (Capsouto Freres; Le Perigord); culinary events (Taste of Tribeca; Roots 2014 by The Chef’s Garden); food and beverage products (Gumption Coffee; Curious Elixirs); and TV personalities and chefs (Pichet Ong, Ana Quincoces, James Avery).

Shari is known for her active role in the culinary community and support of industry events and programs. She has traveled around the world to attend Food & Wine conferences, from Melbourne, Australia to Honolulu, Hawaii and Aspen, Colorado.
